About Wine Adventures with Stacy Lynn

Welcome to Wine Adventures with Stacy Lynn. I am a working mom with 4 kids, a grandchild, a husband and a dog. My real job is working in I.T. but my true passion is photography and, of course, wine! By accident, I discovered that there is more to wine than just pour, drink and pour some more. I attended my first wine tasting event at a friend’s house where we learned the steps to properly taste wine and how food pairings impact the taste of the wine. I started to study and analyze wine with every sip I took.

Learning about wine is a lot like exploring and learning about our universe – the more I learned about wine – the more I realized that there was much more to it that I didn’t know. I became obsessed with how wine experts could detect and name individual aromas and tastes in wine. I started taking classes and have been working on developing this skill as well. (Though I am still a long way from being an expert – I am much better at it than where I was when I first started drinking wine.) I now hold a certificate for the WSET Level I Award in Wine. I plan on continuing my wine education and pursuing additional certifications in the future.

I would like to share my wine adventures with you.  I like to taste wine from the wine regions around the world.  I provide reviews on the wine, food pairings and educate folks about the wine and region it comes from.  However, my wine reviews are not written for wine experts.  My goal is to provide wine/food pairings and wine education to folks who work all day and don’t have time to cook an elaborate, fancy meal or the money to buy an expensive bottle of wine. There are plenty of great tasting, quality wines that are affordable.  And there is nothing wrong with pairing a nice Argentina Torrontés with an Ortega Taco kit!
