Today’s wine adventure and food pairing was inspired by the fact that it’s been a long week and I worked all day and I also have hungry but picky children to feed. Days like today call for a quick, easy recipe such as stuffed turkey rolls with gravy paired with a light bodied red wine. Simply roll Stove Top Stuffing in turkey deli meat slices. Place the turkey rolls in a glass pan and top with Heniz turkey gravy. Bake in oven at 350 degrees for 45 minutes. This can be served with mashed potatoes and corn.

Now for the good part – the wine!  I found a Pinot Noir from the Valle de Uco, Mendoza Argentina region, which is sold from Refucilo Wine located on the North Side of Pittsburgh. I found this wine to be rather elegant, light bodied with aromas of red cherries with low tannin and just the right amount of acidity. This wine was fermented and stored in stainless steel vats which must explain the emphasized fruit flavor.  In other words – the wine is damn good! Cheers!
