Tacos and Torrontés

What kind of Wine Adventure is appropriate for when it’s been a long week and its hot outside? One that includes tacos made using an Ortega Taco Kit paired with a nice Torrontés from Argentina, of course!

Torrontés a wine varietal that originated in Argentina and is a nice alternative to Chardonnay or Pinot Grigio. Even though it can smell sweet (intense aromas of peach and citrus zest) – it is a dry white wine. However, don’t let the word “dry” discourage you if you are a sweet wine drinker. I like Torrontés because it is light bodied and has the perfect balance of acidity and is very refreshing – just like a cool glass of lemonade on a hot day.

Today’s Wine Adventure features a Torrontés wine sold by Refucilo Wine located in Pittsburgh’s North Side. In fact, all the wine sold by Refucilo Wine comes from Argentina. That is great for me since I am local to Pittsburgh.
